I was looking back through my archives tonight and remembered how much I used to love blogging and how much I'm glad I started it (thanks Rachel!). I would have never remembered the specifics of things and what I loved to do and when without it. That's why I'm going to try and make myself do it more frequently again. Starting with at least 3 times a week. Just to show my progress on projects, get out frustrations of patterns that get me stuck (Amy Butler!), and to show the finished products of things that I might not have in the future.
I have finished my BIG 90x90 quilt and will post pictures as soon as we have a dry day and I can take it outside to get a good shot. I also have a new one I started the day I finished that one that I will take a picture of as well. I have a few other ideas in the works for some other fabric I have. One of those is finally doing this skirt:
with this fabric:
and then this quilt:
with a secret fabric ;)
That's about it for today :)

So my BFF Rachel came to see me this week (note - this post was started about 2 weeks ago) and we have been having SUCH a great time! First day was painting day and shopping day
went to Fabric Bliss so I could introduce her to Aurora, the owner.
today was sewing day
we are both making these little key clutchs from the Amy Butler book - "Style Stitches"
I also have this oilcloth to make some reusable sandwich/snack bags
and I'm still working on this quilt - I really want to have it done by the Monument Art Hop. I was asked to show some of my quilts in it :) I'll be in Crafty Laine for the May show so please stop by if you can and say hello!
So Denise Schmidt released some fabrics just for JoAnn's. I am the proud owner of the above and maybe 2 more I picked up after the photo was taken - shhhhh - don't tell anyone ;) It's so nice to use 50% off coupons on designer fabrics........ahhhhhh :)
I've also been in a painting mood for the past month as well.
Here is one I did a few weeks ago
I think that's enough catching up for one day. Have a few more things to share but will save them for later ;)
Hope everyone has a great day!!

I have a bit of catching up to do so here it goes.........
Here is the Birdie Sling all cut out and interfaced. It's time to start sewing!! Hoping to get it done today :)
I finished these up while I was home recovering from surgery and sent them to my niece Macy. Just got a message this morning that she received them and they fit! YAY!!
So while I am not a single girl, I still LOVE the quilt! There is a very fun quilt-a-long happening over at A Cuppa and a Catch Up blog. There are some girls in the Modern Quilt Guild here in CO that are all getting together to do it as well - me being one of them :)
I'm not sure about adding the pink fabrics though. Should I just stick with the blue/green/yellow ones or add the others for some pop??

So I made a Birdie Sling bag a few years ago and I must say it has gotten plenty of use. I love that bag. It has sense started to loose some of it's luster and must be retired. So what does that mean for me?? More sewing!! Yay!! Here are the fabrics for the next bag:
Can't wait to see how this one turns out!
